Ab Separation: Dani's Story and Myths Busted

Caitlin Daley Season 1 Episode 17

Episode 17 Dani and Caity discuss Diastasis Rectus Abdominus (DRA) and the latest research on this condition that effects up to 68% of women in the postpartum period.

DRA is defined as the stretching of the linea alba, which leads to abnormal widening between the medial sides of the rectus abdominus muscle (increased inter-recti distance).

We discuss how DRA is diagnosed, the research on abdominal strength training, and why looking at the body as a WHOLE is more important that focussing on closing the gap.

In a follow-up episode we will bring more information on Neuromuscular Electromagnetic Stimulation (NMES) which you may know as the Emsculpt Treatment.

Stay tuned for more, and as always if you enjoyed this episode please leave us a review, subscribe and share on your socials!
